Final Year Project

Project Title

Deep Prenatal Care Unit

Description

This project proposes a remote biomedical system that monitors and predicts the health of a mother and her child through the Internet of Things (IoT) based signal processing and Deep Learning (DL) techniques. Maternal Heart Rate (MHR), Fetal Heart Rate (FHR), fetal movement, oxygen concentration, and temperature are calculated and transmitted remotely to the doctor, who can then devise a patient-specific plan to prevent complications. This system will lead to better care and a reduction in fetal and maternal deaths, and will significantly reduce average hospital visits in the third trimester of a pregnant woman, minimizing hospital contact that is specially intended during a pandemic like covid-19.
